The theme for August is lions. Lions are amazing creatures, and one of my favorites. (I also have one cat who thinks he’s a lion).
August 10th is World Lion Day.
World Lion Day was created for three reasons:
- To raise awareness of the plight of lions in the wild and in captivity.
- To encourage the protection of lions and their shrinking habitat.
- To educate people of the danger that lions pose to people
